Christian Life And Service Seminars

Abundant Life Church has a distinct mission! We exist to reach the tri-part goal of “Bringing Them In, Growing Them Up, and Sending Them Out.” Everything we do, every program we offer, every service we gather for, must propel us toward accomplishing that goal. We feel the church must, and will, accomplish exactly what Jesus commanded it to accomplish.  And that is to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” (Matt. 28:19)

A mission, no matter how noble, is of no avail without a strategy to accomplish what has been set forth. At Abundant Life, we have that strategy. Everyone from the occasional attendee to the highly committed lay minister are accounted for within the Abundant Life Circles of Commitment.

Every member can see where they are and where they could potentially arrive. The Circles of Commitment is a flow chart for us to track the spiritual progress of each individual, and to allow those individuals to see where they have been as well as where they are going.

The process that moves members from one level to another in the Circles of Commitment is C.L.A.S.S. This is an acronym for Christian Life And Service Seminars. Each one of the seminars is designed to help people develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ and a deeper commitment to His teachings. Initially there are four seminars (C.L.A.S.S.’s).

These sessions are outlined on a simple baseball diamond to visually explain the process to each prospective member of Abundant Life.

You get to first base by completing CLASS 101 and committing to Abundant Life’s membership covenant. You arrive at second base after completing CLASS 201 and committing to a spiritual growth covenant.

You make it to third base by completing CLASS 301 and committing to serve in a ministry of the church.

And you finally get back to home plate by completing CLASS 401 and committing to sharing your faith in various intentional methods.
