Every Friday night, Revolution Youth Ministries offers an “alternative”. 

An alternative?...To what?

Everyone has a choice to where they want to go in life, what they want to be, and how they plan on getting there.  However, the culture and society we live in tries to persuade us to choose a path that can quickly take us places we would rather not go, a path that ultimately will lead us away from our true purpose.  This generation is constantly being marketed to choose…and most of the time the choices offered are not ones that will benefit in the long run.

That is where “the aLtErNaTiVe” comes in.

Revolution Youth Ministries offers to this generation “the alternative” to a path void of purpose and a path void of meaning.  It is here at “the aLtErNaTiVe” that lives of students in Junior High, Senior High, and College are changed and transformed by the power of God.  It is here that this generation can find the alternative that needs no other alternative…Jesus Christ.

Whether it is a simple night of fun and games, or it is a trip to a out of city youth function , or an actual Worship service held at the Abundant Life campus, “the aLtErNaTiVe” gives this generation a place of hope, connection, purpose, and power.

So, what goes on at “the aLtErNaTiVe”?

For a “typical” alternative, there are multiple areas for students to connect to each other and connect to Jesus Christ. There is air hockey, foosball, table tennis, video games, basketball, dodge ball, and many other activities offered, not to mention various food and beverages to keep the body fueled!  However, the most important thing is the opportunity for students to connect with Jesus in a power packed, amazing worship service where they will feel God’s presence and hear his word in a life changing way!

So, if you are a student reading this and realize, “I’m ready for an alternative in my life”, or even if you're just curious to check out this “alternative” revolution taking place, we invite you on Friday nights at 7:30pm in room 418 to experience “the aLtErNaTiVe”!
